Recommended websites

There are a number of websites containing a great deal of information about the area around Stadl. It is possible to spend hours looking at the options available, we know - because we have done it!! Our advice to visitors in the summer and those coming in the winter who do not want to ski or snowboard – or who simply may want a break for a day or two, is to spend some time having a look at the websites we recommend below, before coming out to visit. Many of these have English versions if you can’t speak German, which is also helpful.

As well as a copy of this website in brochure form, there is also a visitors information pack in the chalet containing leaflets, maps etc. Please use these to get around by all means – but please return them, or replace them if the originals are lost or damaged, for the next visitors to use.

www.murtal.at and www.murau-kreischberg.at, both give details of activities in the local area.

www.steiermark.at and www.carinthia-info.at and www.salzburgerland.com give detailed information about their regions.

www.austria.info gives some general information about Austria.

www.nationalparknockberge.at and www.naturpark-grebenzen.at give details of both National
Parks. Other parks in Styria and Carinthia can be found at www.naturparke.at

www.outdoorland.info gives some fantastic information and maps for hiking and trekking in the region.

www.turracherhoehe.at gives information about that resort.

www.golftoday.co.uk will give details of the golf courses in the region. Click on ‘course guides’ then click on ‘austria’ and then select either the region of ‘Styria, ‘Carinthia’ or ‘Salzburg’ to view the courses and websites.

www.freytagberndt.com provide excellent maps with maps drawn to different scales.
